Tim Trodden, Chief Human Resources Officer

Tim is a C-Suite Business Executive with over 20 years of business and HR leadership experience. During his career, he has worked in all facets and functions of HR focused on: Transformational HR and Business Strategy, Change Leadership, Leadership and Team Effectiveness, Diversity and Inclusivity Culture building, and Talent and Capability development. He has worked across numerous business segments and has lived abroad as an Expatriate with a number of global experiences.

Tim served as Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer since January 2017 for WellCare (acquired by Centene). In that role, he led the integrated HR function that was responsible for creating and driving the overarching talent and culture strategy that enabled WellCare’s enterprise-wide priorities, while being the confidant and coach to the CEO and C-suite executive team. Tim worked with the CEO to revamp several cultural aspects including fostering an inclusive environment and building out recognized diversity programs with the Chief Diversity Officer. He also upgraded many of the HR practices utilizing data and measures tied to business results. In his role, he was direct liaison to Compensation Committee and Board of Directors on all things around talent and pay.

Prior to WellCare, Tim was the head of human resources, corporate enterprise functions for Johnson & Johnson where he led overall HR and talent strategy and HR model transformation. During his 16 years with the company, he has held multiple, senior HR positions with increasing leadership that included global, in-country roles, change leadership and transformation, business partnership, talent management, and total rewards.

Tim holds a Bachelor’s degree from Seton Hall University and a masters degree in human resources management from Rutgers University. He also is a graduate of the Wharton School’s Executive Development Program for general management.
