Joseph DeVivo is President, Chief Executive Officer, and Chairman of the Board at Butterfly Network, a digital health company transforming care portable, semiconductor-based ultrasound technology and intuitive software. He is a proven executive with thirty-seven years of business leadership experience, including over two decades of experience in the medical device industry ranging from small start-up environments to corporate leadership positions in multi-billion-dollar organizations, and nearly a decade in Digital Health (HIT). Prior to Butterfly, DeVivo served as President of Hospitals and Health Systems at Teladoc Health, a telemedicine and virtual healthcare company, and as CEO and Director at InTouch Health, a leader in high acuity telehealth. He has also held positions at AngioDynamics, Smith+Nephew, RITA Medical Systems, Computer Motion Inc, and U.S. Surgical, and served as Chairman of the Board and Independent Director at SurgiQuest and Caption Health.
Joe specializes in advanced technology, business development and corporate strategy, multiple market vision, driving profitability through operational efficiency, and sales and marketing leadership growth delivery. He has acquired and fully integrated eight companies; engineered four complex business turnarounds into clear successes; and delivered three company exits as CEO and two as Chairman, all while driving significant shareholder value for each deal.
Joe is also a healthcare thought leader and global speaker who is active in industry. He has been serving on the Board of AdvaMed for 15 years, where he was previously Chairman of its Center for Digital Health. He also served two terms as Treasurer of the American Telemedicine Association. He is active in philanthropy and held previous positions on the Board of Governors for Lausanne Collegiate School and Board of Governors for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital for eight years.
